Artist's Description
In this painting, I sought to capture the essence of Astraea, the Greek goddess known as the Star Maiden, who, embodying the ideals of innocence and purity, represented all that was good in the world. Astrologically, the fifth largest asteroid, Astraea, represents fairness, justice and the pursuit of perfection.
About Linda Gemmill
Based in a remote coastal village in the South East of England, I draw inspiration from the natural world and my deep passion for all things esoteric, including astrology and the energies of the powerful Asteroid Goddesses: my muse, the Divine Feminine - the Great Mother in her many powerful expressions.
